
Cantabria is composed by the Cantabric mountain chain at the south, that extends from Picos de Europa (in Asturias) to the basque mountains (Ordunte), a flat coastline at north of the state and, in between, there are magnificent rivers and huge valleys separated by mountains, most of them covered by forest. |

Artistic monuments and natural places spectacularly beautiful are located in Soba - Ason Valley. Surrounded by mountain passes (Los Tornos, Portillo de la Sia and Lunada), you must know the Collados del Ason viewpoint, where the Ason river is born in a wonderful 160 feet waterfall, as well as the Gandara river and its spectacular view.
