Cantabria is composed by the Cantabric mountain chain at the south, that extends from Picos de Europa (in Asturias) to the basque mountains (Ordunte), a flat coastline at north of the state and, in between, there are magnificent rivers and huge valleys separated by mountains, most of them covered by forest.

Artistic monuments and natural places spectacularly beautiful are located in Soba - Ason Valley. Surrounded by mountain passes (Los Tornos, Portillo de la Sia and Lunada), you must know the Collados del Ason viewpoint, where the Ason river is born in a wonderful 160 feet waterfall, as well as the Gandara river and its spectacular view.
